The same Murkoff Corporation which was responsible for all the gruesome experiments in Mount Massive Asylum in ‘Outlast 1’.
It also tells us that The Murkoff Corporation is the one who is controlling everything. The document describes how the radio towers were transmitting mind controlling microwaves throughout the village. Specifically, in your gameplay you will find a document titled “Old Traveller” which explains why the entire village and Blake are slowly losing their minds. The reason behind these hallucinations is what connects ‘Outlast 2’ to its predecessor. Let’s begin with all the visions Blake has throughout the course of the game and the reason behind them. Now let’s go deep down the rabbit hole and find out what actually the ending of ‘Outlast 2’ was all about. There she takes your hand and says a short prayer and the credits roll. She takes you to the room where the two of you used to hangout. In the school you meet Jessica who has rope marks around her neck. There is another bright flash of light after which you end up back in the school. The whole town is in shambles as Knoth has killed them all. Knoth slits his own throat and you walk out of the chapel with the baby in your arms. He curses the baby you’re holding and tells you to get rid of it since he can’t kill it.
When you wake up, you find Knoth sitting in front of you. You’re helpless at this point of time and you end up passing out courtesy of the traumatic experience you just had. Before she dies, she says “There’s nothing there”. Inside the chapel, Lynn gives birth and eventually succumbs to her injuries. You somehow take her to the chapel as the storm rages on outside. Now Lynn is supposedly pregnant with the antichrist and is suffering from severe labour pains. So after numerous near death experiences and excruciating chases you (Blake Langermann) manage to escape the mines with your wife, Lynn. Let’s start with describing the ending scenes as they happened in the game. For those of you who have and are still trying to make sense of the ending, read on.
